Sunscreen
For those long days at the beach or relaxing afternoons by the pool, staying sun safe is essential. But did you know that even brief daily sun exposure during everyday activities can cause lasting skin damage?
Wearing sunscreen every day is one of the best ways to protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Here are our top sun safety tips for year-round protection—because sunscreen isn’t just for summer.
Apply sunscreen every day, no matter the weather.
Put sunscreen on clean, dry skin at least 20 minutes before going outdoors.
Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 50+ to shield against both UVA (which ages skin) and UVB (which causes sunburn).
For effective coverage, apply sunscreen generously: roughly a teaspoon for each arm and leg, a teaspoon for the front of your body, a teaspoon for your back, and half a teaspoon for your face, neck, and ears.
Reapply sunscreen every two hours—or more often if you’re swimming or sweating.
Don’t forget commonly missed areas like the back of your neck, knees, hands, and tops of your feet.
Avoid direct sun exposure between 11am and 3pm when UV rays are strongest.
Seek shade whenever possible and use a water-resistant sunscreen during swimming.
Wear protective clothing and shield your face and eyes with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.
Remember, UV rays can penetrate glass and clouds, and they reflect off surfaces like snow, so protection is important even when it doesn’t feel sunny.
To keep your sunscreen effective all summer, store it in a cool place below 30°C and check the expiry date before use.
Invisible Zinc
Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb the sun's UV rays, Invisible Zinc uses naturally sourced zinc oxide to create a physical barrier on your skin, reflecting both UVA & UVB rays and helping to prevent irritation.
Zinc oxide is a mineral reflector that creates a physical, reflective barrier on the surface of your skin.
The formula is water-resistant, fragrance-free and free from parabens, making it suitable for daily use, outdoor activities, and prolonged sun exposure. Despite its mineral base, it blends in more easily than traditional zinc sunscreens, leaving minimal white residue while delivering effective, long-lasting protection.
