All of our pharmacists are trained to identify bacterial conjunctivitis of the eye and minor eyelid infections such as styes.
Symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis include irritation, redness and often a sticky discharge.
The pharmacist can supply the antibiotic Chloramphenicol in a drop or ointment form to adults and children aged 2 and over.
If you are a contact lens wearer and have developed conjunctivitis whilst wearing your contact lenses you must see your Doctor or Optometrist. We cannot supply Chloramphenicol as you are at risk of a more serious eye condition which will require a different treatment.
No appointment required.
There may be a charge for the consultation and treatment.
