Children’s Oral Rehydration Service

Vomiting, diarrhoea or illness can quickly lead to dehydration in children. Our pharmacists can assess your child and, if appropriate, provide funded oral rehydration treatment.

Who is this service for?

Children under 14 years of age who need short term rehydration support due to illness.

What will it cost?

With a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $5.

Without a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $20.

Medicines supplied may be fully funded.

Visit or call our pharmacy for advice if you are worried about dehydration in your child - we can also tell you when a doctor or urgent care visit is needed.
